The play references and shows moments of alcohol dependence.
With Anne’s wedding to Jim McReidy fast approaching, her father, Paul, needs to stop drinking the whisky bought for the after-party. Set in 1980s South East England, Irish immigrant, Paul Corcoran battles to keep his place as head of the family with his eight children growing up, his continued dependence on whisky and the consequences of his misspent youth coming back to haunt him.
A play that explores what it means to be Irish in the UK, across generations; what it means to be abandoned and what it costs to abandon those you love.
