Bespoke Plays is excited to present a workshop of Mimi Collins’ Water Party.
In a future where birth control is in the water supply, couples who want to have a baby undergo a rigorous application, processed by The Bureau’s infallible algorithm. When a couple is approved, they receive a year’s supply of clean water. It is customary to throw a Water Party to celebrate. This is the story of one such party.

CAROLINE FORD is a British actress best known for her role as Sophie Longerbane in the Amazon Prime series ‘Carnival Row’. Her other television credits include; ‘Free Rein’ and ‘Captain Laserhawk’ for Netflix, ‘Sleepy Hollow’, ‘Once Upon a Time’ and most recently ‘FBI: International’. Film credits include ‘Still’ and ‘Nekrotronic’. Caroline has narrated several documentaries and has recently finished recording her fourth season of the award-winning Audible series “Impact Winter”. Caroline is represented by United Agents and Strand Entertainment.

MADELEINE HERD is an Adelaide-born, London-based actor and graduate of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. UK credits include Helena/Titania/Snug in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and Belle in ‘Beauty & The Beast’ (Chapterhouse Theatre Company Open-Air Tour), Lily in Bespoke Plays’ ‘Snakeskin Suit’ and Mara in ‘Water Party’ (The Union Theatre), and Clifford in ‘Henry VI: Days of Rebellion’ (Bristol Old Vic Weston). In Aus, she trod the boards as Honey in ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’ (Holden Street Theatres) and in 10 productions with Independent Theatre Company – highlights being Billie in ‘Born Yesterday’, Ophelia in ‘Hamlet’, and Queen Elisabeth in ‘Don Carlos’. She will also feature in ‘Kangaroo Island’ (PIRO), which recently premiered at Adelaide Film Festival and Marché du Film.
WILL COX is a stage actor with nearly 20 years of experience in theatres across Australia and the UK. He holds a Master’s degree in classical acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where he recently appeared as Anton Schill in The Visit and Count Lodovico in The White Devil. A long-time collaborator with Independent Theatre Inc, his credits include leads in Hamlet, Don Carlos, Look Homeward, Angel, Ross, Brideshead Revisited, and Cry God for Harry! at the Adelaide Festival Centre. He has also performed in rehearsed readings such as The Glass Menagerie (Tom Wingfield), Heretics (Count Raymond – Bespoke Plays, London), and Suddenly Last Summer. Though his primary home is the stage, his screen work includes The Boys Are Back (Miramax), Hey, Hey, It’s Esther Blueburger, and ANZAC Girls (ABC).
