Overview
Eva is planning the perfect summer wedding for her sister Eleanor and their neighbor’s son—except it’s not really a wedding, and her sister really doesn’t want to be there. As tensions run high in the hours before the ceremony, we learn the real reason they’re throwing the party: their mother has a severe neurodegenerative disease that is rapidly eroding her mobility, cognition, and memory; and it’s her dying wish to see her daughter walk down the aisle. This tragicomedy explores survivor’s guilt and anticipatory grief, investigating how love persists regardless of when we decide to let go.
This play is part of the Union One Act Festival.
