Overview

The Union Theatre scratch night created specifically to showcase new talent from the world of dance. The creators have all submitted pieces of dance for the Union and they will all be performed on the 19th. A range of styles, themes and music. It’s going to be electric !

Zak Nemorin is a highly accomplished choreographer, artistic director, and performer whose career spans two decades in the West End and internationally.
Zak is the Co-Creator and Additional Choreographer of the acclaimed feature-length documentary UPROOTED – The Journey of Jazz Dance, exploring the history and future of the art form (available on HBO Max in the USA). He is also the Artistic Director of TheJazzCore Company.

Stage Highlights
As a performer, Zak was in the original casts of West End hits like We Will Rock You, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Viva Forever!. He served as Dance Captain for the original run of Strictly Ballroom and in productions of The Wizard Of Oz and High Society (Old Vic). He has performed internationally in shows including Cats and West Side Story (Salzburg Festival).

Creative Work
As a creative, Zak was nominated for an Offie Award for his choreography on Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (Best Musical 2020 winner). He served as Associate Choreographer for Rebecca The Musical and as Artistic Director for the V&A Performance Festival. His choreography has been featured Off-Broadway with All Quiet On The Western Front.

Zak is the Head of Dance & Artistic Director at Millennium Performing Arts, and an Associate Choreographer for the Danish Royal Ballet School.
